Queen Bee during winter: in New Zealand

The queen bee is longer
During winter, she naturally stop laying egg and rest, and eat.

My bee farmer friend feeds the bee with sugar water

Manuka flower bloom too early this year and the bee has no chance to harvest the nectar during winter, which is cold and wet

Note: Manuka honey will fetch a very good price next year
