Happen to have a working holiday in Singapre
The street is busy with preparation for the coming Fornmula one car race in Saingpore on the 23rd of September 2011.

Most of the hotel has been fully booked. Customer sure to pay a bit more to stay in Singapore during this peak season. I like to sta at Value Hotel Thomson. The Manager Mr. Oh is very helpful. Best to stay for a few days. Get ready to set a side leisure time for the gymnesium, swimming pool and the restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel.

Personally, I think Singapore is the best transit centre in the whole world.

Kuching

Kuching, a beautiful green city of Sarawak State, in Malaysia is situated at the Borneo island. Joined the Federation of Malaya in Peninsula Malaysia which is north of Singapore and formed Malaysia on the 16th of September.

Therefore 16th September is a public holiday.
During the moon cake festival that is the full moon of the lunar 8th month of Chinese Calendar, usually in the month of September, people in Kuching celebrate with moon cakes. Beautiful boxes contain many types of moon cakes in various shape and flavor. It is best to brew a pot of tea especially unsweetened flower tea to match with moon cakes.

Sarawak Regatta

Anybody know the meaning of Sarawak ?
Sarawak, the largest state of Malaysia is situated at northern part of Borneo. Separated from the southern Indonesia territory by a mountain range.

A place once known as Darul Hana. That was the time of Brunei kingdom before 1841. Brunei people called this area Darul Hana translated as land of perfection.

Yes. Land of perfection. A place even rare mineral Antimony is available. Local river folks called Antimony Sarawek. It was used by Chinese from China( export item and great revenue gained from this trade beside gold)for making stainless steel ( ancient version)

So Sarawak got its name from the soft silvery metal Antimony.

my friend lost his check in luggage at Kuching airport

Supposed to be a happy trip.

His wife new LV bag inside the luggage.
He reported lost at Kuching airport. Information from the incharge of luggage of Tiger Airways='' Not responsible for any lost, and suggest claim from insurance and report to police''

According to Airport security. Best to report to MAS ground staff immediately( if you knew whole bag stolen / lost or damaged)

If you didnot see any damage during collection then the following days you may have to report to police. ( Try to claim compensation)

The main issue is: Is Kuching airport safe.
Why there is less luggage damage, less incidnece of things inside luggage bag stolen whenever travel with MAS. Yet many people experienced lost as luggage bag broken by some body at Kuching airport. Thins lost ?? what do you think ?!
